We are two sisters, Gaëlle and Mathilde. For 24 years, we co-founded and ran a maternity clothing brand. Our expertise, fueled by a passion for well-designed garments, lies in creating technical and adaptable pieces, made to support bodies in motion.
REKIS [adj.breton: necessary, indispensable] was born in Rennes with a simple vision: to unite technical performance and urban fashion. Technical clothing lacks elegance, and urban clothing lacks functionality.
Through discussions with urban mobility professionals and bike commuters, a clear need emerged: to simplify, to no longer be encumbered: parka, fluorescent vest, over-trousers... To create a garment adapted to journeys that combines everything, elegant and functional.
After months of research and dozens of prototypes, we designed a unique trench coat incorporating invisible features: an integrated high-visibility vest and deployable, removable leg guards. This garment, designed for cycling, scootering, and walking, will accompany you from morning to night, from work to restaurants, and in all weather conditions.
